CSPC PHARMA (01093.HK): HB1801 Phase III Trial Starts in China

NewTimeSpace News: On 24 September 2026, CSPC Pharmaceutical Group Limited (stock code: 01093.HK) announced on a voluntary basis that the Phase III trial (HB1801-017) of its injectable docetaxel (albumin-bound) (HB1801) for advanced breast cancer has recently started at its first site in China. The randomised, open-label, multicentre trial evaluates HB1801 versus docetaxel (Taxotere®) in participants with advanced breast cancer, with enrolment and screening under way.

HB1801, developed on the Group's nanoparticle drug technology platform, encapsulates docetaxel in human serum albumin. Versus conventional docetaxel injection it offers no risk of allergic reactions, no steroid premedication and rapid high-concentration dosing, improving safety and patient compliance, while preclinical and clinical studies show strong anti-tumour activity allowing higher doses and better efficacy.
