HENGRUI PHARMA (01276.HK): HRS-4139 Tablets Cleared for Clinical Trial in Moderate-to-Severe Plaque Psoriasis

NewTimeSpace (newtimespace.com) News: On 15 September 2026, Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. (stock code: 01276) published an overseas regulatory announcement setting out an announcement published on the website of the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The Company's subsidiary Fujian Shengdi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. received a Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice issued by the National Medical Products Administration approving a clinical trial of HRS-4139 tablets in moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis.

The acceptance numbers are CXHL2600754, CXHL2600755 and CXHL2600756, and the NMPA accepted the application on 25 June 2026. The announcement stated that, after obtaining a clinical trial approval notice, the drug still has to undergo clinical trials and pass NMPA review and approval before it can be manufactured and marketed.

HRS-4139 tablets are a Class 1 new drug independently developed by the Company that effectively improved psoriasis symptoms and suppressed inflammatory responses in animal models. A search showed that no drug against the same target has been approved for marketing in China or overseas. Cumulative R&D investment in the HRS-4139 tablet project is approximately RMB 20.4 million (unaudited).

The announcement noted that drug development, from research through clinical trial filing to production, involves long cycles and many stages, and that development and eventual marketing are subject to uncertainties. The Company will actively advance the project in accordance with relevant national regulations and will duly perform its information disclosure obligations.
