NewTimeSpace Going Global Observation
This week's overseas expansion story ran along three main threads. First, clinical evidence and compliance qualifications for innovative drugs went global in clusters: Phase III and Phase II data from a number of pharmaceutical companies were disclosed at the ESMO Congress and simultaneously published in the New England Journal of Medicine, while LIFETECH SCI, ZHAOKE OPHTH-B and HUTCHMED respectively obtained EU CE MDR certification, Australian TGA GMP certification and U.S. FDA orphan drug designation, extending the credentials of Chinese drugs and devices going global from pipeline licensing to production systems and regulatory review. Second, the pipeline of companies listing in Hong Kong diverged: XINDE SEMI, HOSIN ELEC, DENGLIN and NEAUTUS priced and launched their offerings in quick succession, while ADASPACE and SINOTAU passed the listing hearing one after the other; yet SUNWODA and YUSYS TECHNOLOGIES successively terminated their H-share issues, BLUEFOCUS had also earlier terminated its H-share listing plan, and MICRO-INTELLIGENCE announced a delay after its offering, as technology and manufacturing companies take a more pragmatic view of the issuance window. Third, overseas orders and asset transactions advanced in parallel: CHALIECO locked in a large alumina EPC contract in Vietnam, and CONCORD NE sold a U.S. photovoltaic project under construction to a buyer under NextEra, with the going-global path flowing in both directions between taking on and transferring assets.
