NewTimeSpace News: On 2 November 2026, CSPC Pharmaceutical Group Limited (stock code: 01093) said the Phase I/II clinical trial of SYS6052, its recombinant herpes zoster vaccine (CHO cells), has officially started in China. A recombinant protein vaccine, it combines varicella-zoster virus glycoprotein E (gE) antigen with the group's self-developed novel nano-adjuvant system, which is designed to induce strong humoral and cellular immune responses.
The group received the clinical trial approval notice from the National Medical Products Administration in July 2026 and then launched the randomised, blinded, controlled Phase I/II trial, which will assess safety and immunogenicity in people aged 40 and above. Participant recruitment and screening are progressing.
