CSPC PHARMA (01093.HK): Starts Phase I/II Trial of SYS6043 in China
NewTimeSpace News: On 30 October 2026, CSPC Pharmaceutical Group Limited (stock code: 01093) voluntarily announced that the open-label, multi-centre Phase I/II clinical trial of its B7-H3-targeting antibody-drug conjugate SYS6043, alone or in combination with bevacizumab and/or chemotherapy, for advanced solid tumours has been formally initiated at the first centre in China.
The announcement stated that SYS6043's antibody moiety specifically binds to B7-H3-expressing cell surfaces and is internalised into cells. Its linker-drug is a tetrapeptide linker conjugated with a topoisomerase I inhibitor, which releases a small-molecule toxin after protease-specific cleavage to kill tumour cells and exert a bystander effect on surrounding tumour tissues. Unlike antibodies with a conventional wild-type Fc fragment, the product reduces lymphocyte uptake and lowers off-target toxicity risk, thereby improving safety.
The group previously received the Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice from the National Medical Products Administration in September 2026 and initiated the trial upon approval. Patient recruitment and screening are now actively underway.
