CGS pointed out that US non-farm payroll data beat expectations, and in the short term it will most likely weigh on Hong Kong stock valuations by pushing up US Treasury yields and reinforcing expectations of higher interest rates, but this is more akin to a market stress test rather than a confirmation signal of a trend reversal. Whether Hong Kong stocks can break through going forward hinges on whether their own liquidity conditions and industry logic can offset the disturbance from overseas interest rates.

Three signals merit close attention: first, whether southbound funds can re-form a sustained net inflow trend; second, whether the Hang Seng TECH Index can break through its previous high on rising volume; third, whether the AI rally can spread from the previously leading hardware sectors such as computing power and PCB to the internet, AI applications, Agent, and Physical AI. If Hong Kong stocks can still hold their ground and rise on expanding volume despite external negative pressure, it would indicate that the revaluation of Chinese assets, southbound fund inflows, and the technology industry cycle are becoming the core driving forces of Hong Kong stocks, and Hong Kong stocks are expected to achieve a breakout; otherwise, Hong Kong stocks will most likely shift into a high-level consolidation pattern.
