On 7 September, Baidu Group (09888.HK) was formally added to the Stock Connect list of eligible securities, effective the same day. Baidu completed its conversion to dual primary listing in Hong Kong on 1 September, becoming Stock Connect-eligible just one weekend later. Based on its internal estimates, Citi expects Baidu could attract net new southbound inflows of about USD 6 billion (approximately HK$ 47 billion) over the next 2 to 4 months. Morgan Stanley previously estimated southbound inflows of USD 3 billion to USD 6.8 billion in the first 6 to 12 months after inclusion. Baidu is now a Stock Connect eligible security.

3. Medcaptain Medical lists on the HKEX today, closing over 42% below its offer price on debut

On 7 September, medical device supplier Medcaptain Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (02041.HK) was formally listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, with Morgan Stanley and Huatai International as joint sponsors. On 7 September, INSILICO (03696.HK) issued a positive profit alert, expecting to record a net profit of approximately USD 33.5 million to USD 39.5 million for the first half, versus a net loss of USD 19.2 million in the same period of 2025, turning profitable. The Group stated that the turnaround in revenue and profit was mainly attributable to continued revenue growth, with income from out-licensing, co-development and research collaboration agreements rising substantially year on year, combined with systematic improvements in operating efficiency. INSILICO was formally included in Stock Connect on 7 September.
