KINTOR PHARMA-B (09939.HK): Long-Term Safety Trial of KT-939 Completed; No Skin Adverse Reactions in 114 Subjects Over 52 Weeks
NewTimeSpace News: On 7 September 2026, Kintor Pharmaceutical Limited (stock code: 09939) announced that the human long-term safety trial of KT-939, its self-developed novel high-efficiency tyrosinase inhibitor that suppresses melanin production, was successfully completed on 4 September 2026.
According to the announcement, preliminary data showed no skin adverse reactions after 114 subjects continuously used KT-939 for 52 weeks, consistent with the interim results at 28 weeks. The trial was an open-label, single-arm, single-center study primarily evaluating the potential for skin adverse reactions from 52 weeks of continuous topical use of cosmetics containing 0.2% KT-939.
As a new-generation whitening ingredient, KT-939 requires registration approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) before market launch. The trial was conducted in accordance with the NMPA's guidance on human long-term use testing methods for cosmetic ingredients issued on 18 June 2026, and its results constitute one of the most important components of the registration dossier. The company stated that it is actively advancing the registration process and plans to submit all application materials to the NMPA as soon as possible.
