ZHAOKE OPHTH-B (06622.HK): Presbyopia Innovative Drug YUVEZZI™ Approved by Macao Drug Administration

NewTimeSpace News: On 20 July 2026, ZHAOKE OPHTH-B (06622.HK) issued a voluntary announcement. The Group’s innovative ophthalmic drug YUVEZZI™ (2.75% carbachol and 0.1% brimonidine tartrate eye drops) obtained approval from the Macao SAR Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau on 13 July 2026 for the treatment of presbyopia. The Company is striving to enrol YUVEZZI™ into the Hong Kong-Macao Medicine & Medical Device Access Scheme to enable early clinical adoption of the product across the Greater Bay Area.

YUVEZZI™ is a preservative-free, room-temperature stable once-daily pupil-modulating eye drop. It induces pupillary constriction to generate a pinhole effect, sharpening near and intermediate vision. The product is in-licensed from US partner Tenpoint Therapeutics, which secured US FDA approval for YUVEZZI™ in January 2026. Prior to the Macao clearance, the drug received approval from Hainan Provincial Drug Administration in June 2026 for clinical urgent imported drug use at Boao Super Hospital.
