Transport International (00062.HK): Profit Warning, Expected Underlying Interim Profit to Drop by 45% to 55%

NewTimeSpace News: Transport International announced on 13 July that the Group expects its underlying profit for the six months ended 30 June 2026 to decrease by approximately 45% to 55% compared with HK$285 million recorded in the same period of 2025.

NewTimeSpace News: On 13 July 2026, Transport International (00062.HK) issued a profit warning, forecasting its underlying interim profit to slump by roughly 45% to 55% year-on-year.

According to the announcement, the downturn is mainly attributable to the sharp surge in global fuel prices triggered by the Middle East crisis. Since late February 2026, fuel prices have soared by nearly 200% from around US$90 per barrel to a peak of over US$250 per barrel. Although the Hong Kong SAR Government has offered short-term subsidies for fuel and tunnel tolls, and the Group has rolled out cost control measures to mitigate financial pressure, its financial performance has still been adversely affected.
