HKEX Takes Disciplinary Action Against Two Former Directors of Differ Group Auto, Issues Director Unsuitability Statements
NewTimeSpace News: The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (HKEX) has taken disciplinary action against two former directors of Differ Group Auto Limited (former stock code: 6878), which is now in liquidation. It issued statements of unsuitability and reprimands to Mr. Kang Fuming, former Non-executive Director, and Mr. Chen Naike, former Independent Non-executive Director. HKEX ruled that the two individuals are unfit to act as directors or senior management personnel of the company or any of its subsidiaries.
NewTimeSpace News: The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited issued a disciplinary statement on 16 June 2026, imposing disciplinary sanctions on two former directors of Differ Group Auto Limited (former stock code: 6878), a company undergoing liquidation.
HKEX issued reprimands together with director unsuitability statements to Mr. Kang Fuming (ex-Non-executive Director) and Mr. Chen Naike (ex-Independent Non-executive Director). A director unsuitability statement means HKEX holds the view that the relevant persons are unfit to serve as directors or senior management of the company or any of its subsidiaries.
The Listing Committee found that the two former directors failed to cooperate with the Listing Division’s investigation, breached the Listing Rules, and committed serious failures in discharging their obligations under the Listing Rules. The Listing Division issued investigation letters and reminder notices to the two directors for the probe. Mr. Kang only responded to part, not all, of the inquiries, while Mr. Chen did not reply to any of the Listing Division’s enquiries.
HKEX reminds all directors that even if an issuer has ceased listing on HKEX or a person has stepped down as director of a listed issuer, they remain obligated to provide information as reasonably requested by HKEX.
