Notably, divergence emerged within the semiconductor sector — China semiconductor rose 1.04%, while Samsung Bloomberg Global Semiconductor ETF and Fubon ICE FactSet Taiwan Core Semiconductor Index ETF fell 1.98% and 1.58% respectively. Among southbound Stock Connect ETFs, only ICBC CSOP S&P New China Sectors ETF posted a modest gain while all others fell; CSOP Hang Seng Biotech ETF turned lower after a big rally the previous day, and dividend products also failed to hold up.
