Micro lithium-ion battery maker GUANGDONG MIC-POWER NEW ENERGY files for listing on HKEX: ranks first among Chinese suppliers in earphone battery shipments
NewTimeSpace News: On 10 September 2026, Guangdong Mic-Power New Energy Co., Ltd. filed for listing on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, with Guotai Junan International acting as sole sponsor.
According to the draft prospectus, the company is a leading integrated, high-performance and high-safety micro lithium-ion battery provider dedicated to solving core challenges in micro battery materials and battery design and overcoming the limitations of other available lithium-ion chemistries and technologies. Its diversified micro lithium-ion battery portfolio largely falls into the principal battery categories of button cells, cylindrical cells, prismatic and curved cells, and modules, with applications spanning wearable devices, personal smart medical devices, smart education and entertainment devices and portable energy storage battery packs.
The prospectus shows that, according to China Insights Consultancy, the company has built a broad end-customer base mainly comprising the world's leading and internationally renowned smart device and consumer electronics brands. Revenue from these end customers amounted to RMB 328.7 million, RMB 487.3 million, RMB 507.0 million and RMB 288.9 million for 2023, 2024 and 2025 and the six months ended 30 June 2026, representing 93.6%, 91.5%, 89.7% and 85.7% of total revenue for the respective years or period.
The announcement noted that, based on 2025 shipment volume according to China Insights Consultancy, the company ranked fourth globally and second among Chinese suppliers in micro lithium-ion batteries for consumer smart terminals with a global market share of 4.1%, and ranked second globally and first among Chinese suppliers in micro lithium-ion batteries for wireless earphones with a global market share of 7.5%. Its battery types include button cells (micro and ultra-micro), cylindrical cells, prismatic and curved cells, battery modules and others, serving applications such as wearable devices, personal smart medical devices, portable energy storage battery packs and smart education and entertainment devices, as well as customised modules for residential, commercial and industrial applications; the company also provides tailored design and development, prototyping and pilot production services for new battery products, charging non-recurring engineering, tooling and certification fees on a case-by-case basis, with products transferring to standardised mass production at agreed unit prices once designs are finalised.
