HJ SCIENCE-B (06132.HK) plans on-market H-share buyback of up to HK$100m
NewTimeSpace News: On 2 November 2026, HJ Science Co., Ltd. (HJ SCIENCE-B, 06132.HK) disclosed that its board has resolved to exercise the general mandate to buy back H shares on the open market from time to time during the mandate period, with the total amount not exceeding HK$100 million.
The buyback mandate was granted by a resolution passed at an extraordinary general meeting held on 14 September 2026. The company will fund the proposed buyback with its internal resources, not the proceeds from its H-share listing on the main board of the HKEX. The company said its current financial position is sound, with resources sufficient to support business development and R&D while carrying out the buyback.
The board believes the recent H-share trading price fails to reflect the company's intrinsic value and long-term prospects, and a buyback under current market conditions would help enhance shareholder value. The company may cancel the repurchased H shares or hold them as treasury shares for subsequent sale or transfer. The buyback is at the board's discretion depending on market conditions, with no assurance as to timing, quantity or price.
