NewTimeSpace News: On 29 October 2026, Jiangsu Recbio Technology Co., Ltd. (stock code: 02179) said the Phase III trial of REC610, its self-developed recombinant herpes zoster vaccine, has been completed under registration number CTR20243742, and it recently obtained the summary report. REC610 uses varicella-zoster virus glycoprotein E (gE) as the antigen with BFA01, its adjuvant that promotes high levels of gE-specific CD4+ T cells and antibodies, and targets adults aged 40 and above.
The study was implemented and completed as planned, and REC610 showed good overall safety and immunogenicity. The company will consult the National Medical Products Administration and the Center for Drug Evaluation to advance filing and review, and will disclose material progress under the Listing Rules. It cautioned that drug development carries major risks and uncertainties, and acceptance of an application and clearance of on-site inspections do not guarantee approval.
