SSY Group (02005.HK): labetalol API registration approved by China's NMPA
NewTimeSpace News: SSY Group Limited (02005.HK) announced in a voluntary announcement on October 22 that its Labetalol Hydrochloride has obtained approval for registration from the National Medical Products Administration of China to become a bulk drug for preparations on the market. The bulk drug is mainly used for the treatment of hypertension.
According to the announcement, the preparation of this product serves as a first-line emergency medication for gestational hypertension. The Group has already obtained the approval for its Labetalol Hydrochloride Injection preparation, and this approval of the bulk drug represents an important implementation of the Group's strategy of integrating bulk pharmaceuticals and preparations.
The announcement said that the Group's hypertension pipeline has established a comprehensive product portfolio covering conventional chronic oral monotherapy, fixed-dose compound preparations, hypertensive emergencies and obstetric intravenous administrations. Leveraging a dual layout of bulk pharmaceuticals and preparations across multiple core antihypertensive drug types, the Group covers the clinical demand of hypertension for both chronic and emergency cases, consolidating its competitive edge in the cardiovascular field.
