BRII-B (02137.HK): launches BRiSC siRNA drug R&D platform

On 15 October 2026, BRII-B (02137.HK) launched BRiSC, its self-developed bispecific RNAi silencing siRNA drug discovery platform for next-gen RNA therapies.
Key Highlights:
  • BRiSC integrates sequence optimisation, chemical modification, dual-target design and targeted delivery, aiming to enhance the selectivity, efficacy and therapeutic potential of siRNA drugs.

NewTimeSpace News: On 15 October 2026, Brii Biosciences Limited (02137.HK) announced the launch of BRiSC, its self-developed Bispecific RNAi SilenCing siRNA drug discovery platform, to advance next-generation RNA therapies. BRiSC integrates four core modules: sequence optimisation, chemical modification, dual-target design and targeted delivery. Together they aim to boost the selectivity, efficacy and therapeutic potential of siRNA drugs. The Company has built an internal R&D system covering target discovery, translational science and preclinical development, and the platform is already applied to several internal programmes. Its dual-target design aims to silence two targets with a single siRNA drug, prioritising common diseases. Chief Scientific Officer Brian Johns said BRiSC reflects its long-term commitment to siRNA R&D. The platform and related programmes are at various R&D stages and no assurance can be given on outcomes.
