DIRECT DRIVE (06731.HK): Inks Strategic Deal on Robotics Magnets

NewTimeSpace News: On 29 September 2026, Direct Drive Tech Limited (stock code: 06731.HK) announced that it entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with China Rare Earth Group Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. (CRE Innovation).

Pursuant to the agreement, the parties will establish a mechanism for regular technical exchanges and jointly conduct research and development of high-performance magnetic materials, including neodymium-iron-boron magnets, flux-concentrating magnetic rings and radially magnetized rings. They will develop high-performance magnetic material products suitable for direct-drive motors, focusing on magnetic material performance optimization, motor miniaturization and high-torque output, and promote the adoption of direct-drive actuator modules in areas such as embodied robotics, smart home devices, industrial automation and high-end medical equipment.

The parties will work together to strengthen domestic supply chain links from new rare earth materials to robotic drive components, and will explore industry-finance models such as equity investment and industrial funds. CRE Innovation is a wholly-owned subsidiary directly managed by China Rare Earth Group and operates a pilot-scale platform for high-end rare earth functional materials designated for priority development by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The Company is a robotics technology enterprise with a core focus on direct-drive technology, with products available in more than 50 countries and regions. The parties will enter into implementation agreements as and when appropriate.
