CHINASOFT INT'L (00354.HK): Wins Project for Pan-home Furnishing OpenHarmony AI Innovation Centre Worth Approximately RMB 35.5 Million

NewTimeSpace News: On 8 September 2026, ChinaSoft International Limited (stock code: 00354) issued a voluntary announcement stating that it had recently won the bid for the Guangdong Industrial Robots and Smart Home Application Empowerment Centre - Pan-home Furnishing OpenHarmony AI Innovation Centre project, with a contract value of approximately RMB 35.5 million. The company said the project is an important strategic move in response to the national "AI + Manufacturing" special action implementation opinions and in deepening the integration of AI technology with the manufacturing industry, and represents landmark progress in the group's "one body, two wings" strategy.

According to the announcement, the group is replicating to Foshan the full-chain adaptation and ecosystem building experience accumulated at its Xi'an OpenHarmony technology adaptation (certification) and product development centre, to deepen its presence in the local pan-home furnishing industry cluster and expand into edge intelligence and spatial intelligence businesses. The project will build three platforms around the intelligent upgrade of Foshan's pan-home furnishing products: a big data platform that aggregates, governs and shares product data, user behaviour data and manufacturing data to support AI model training and industry agent development; an all-domain intelligent interconnection platform covering device, edge and cloud to host capabilities including lightweight deployment of smart hardware models, orchestration of industry agents and an agent harness runtime framework; and a digital intelligence empowerment platform providing one-stop enabling services for AI software and hardware development, technology adaptation and product intelligence R&D for pan-home furnishing enterprises.

The company noted that the Foshan pan-home furnishing industry cluster exceeds RMB 1 trillion in scale, covering furniture, home appliances, ceramics, lighting and hardware, and is one of the world's largest and most complete home furnishing industry agglomerations. The win marks the extension of the group's AI capabilities from enterprise-level software scenarios to IoT and spatial intelligence scenarios, further completing its "computing power-model-agent" integrated technology loop; the group will also productise and standardise the enabling capabilities validated in Foshan and replicate them to other manufacturing clusters nationwide and the global home furnishing market.
