MEIG (03268.HK): Wholly-owned Subsidiary to Subscribe RMB 30 Million into Venture Capital Fund Targeting IC Industry Chain
NewTimeSpace News: On 8 September 2026, MeiG Smart Technology Co., Ltd. (stock code: 03268) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Shenzhen Meige Zhitou Venture Capital Co., Ltd. (Meige Zhitou), as one of the limited partners, had recently signed a partnership agreement with the general partner, Shanghai Tianjixin Enterprise Management Partnership (Limited Partnership), and 27 other limited partners, to invest in Suzhou Puhua Chenguang Venture Capital Partnership (Limited Partnership), with Meige Zhitou agreeing to subscribe RMB 30 million from its own funds, representing approximately 2.84% of the total subscribed capital of RMB 1.057 billion.
According to the announcement, the partnership is a limited partnership with Yuanhe Puhua Tongxin (Suzhou) Investment Management Co., Ltd. acting as fund manager (registered with the Asset Management Association of China under registration number P1071690) and Shanghai Tianjixin as executive partner. The fund has a term of seven years (extendable twice by one year each time), with an investment period of three years from the first closing; it focuses on investments in the integrated circuit industry chain, and management fees are charged at 0.5% of limited partners' paid-in capital. The announcement noted that Meige Zhitou does not hold a veto right over the fund's proposed investments.
The investment does not constitute a connected transaction or a major asset restructuring and does not require board or shareholders' approval. The partnership has completed establishment registration and fund filing (filing code SEJ073, dated 26 August 2026), though the full capital contribution has yet to be made. The company said the investment is intended to leverage professional institutions' resources to deepen its investment layout along the industrial chain and enhance capital operation capabilities, using its own funds without affecting normal operations, while cautioning that fund investment entails risks including failure to achieve expected returns, possible losses and a long payback period.
