CGN POWER (01816.HK): Completes Issuance of Two Medium-Term Notes Totaling RMB 3.6 Billion at 1.56%

NewTimeSpace News: On 21 August 2026, CGN POWER (01816.HK) announced the completion of its third and fourth tranches of medium-term notes for 2026, with a combined issue size of RMB 3.6 billion, a 3-year tenor and a coupon rate of 1.56%, with proceeds to be used by subsidiaries to repay borrowings and replenish liquidity.

NewTimeSpace News: On 21 August 2026, CGN Power Co., Ltd. (stock code: 01816) announced that it completed the issuance of its third and fourth tranches of medium-term notes for the year 2026 on 20 August 2026. Each tranche has a total issue size of RMB 1.8 billion (RMB 3.6 billion in aggregate), a tenor of 3 years, a face value of RMB 100 per note, a coupon rate of 1.56%, a value date of 21 August 2026 and a maturity date of 21 August 2029.

The announcement disclosed that China Construction Bank Corporation acted as bookrunner and organised the underwriting syndicate for the third tranche, while Bank of China Limited acted as bookrunner and organised the underwriting syndicate for the fourth tranche. Both tranches were publicly issued in the interbank bond market in mainland China through bookbuilding and centralised placement.

The announcement stated that the proceeds from the notes will be fully used by the Company's subsidiaries to repay borrowings and replenish liquidity, and that the Company is not a dishonest subject liable for enforcement. The issuance does not constitute a transaction under Chapter 14 or Chapter 14A of the Listing Rules, and the relevant documents will be published on the website of Shanghai Clearing House and China Money.

Reference is made to the Company's announcement dated 10 September 2025, in which its multi-variety debt financing instruments (TDFI) were successfully registered with the National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors, allowing the Company to issue, within the validity period of the registration, super and short-term commercial paper, short-term commercial paper, medium-term notes, asset-backed notes, green debt financing instruments and private placement debt financing instruments in tranches.
