NewTimeSpace News: Nanjing Leads Biolabs announces WeilixinTM Phase II study for first-line HCC enters expansion stage; preliminary data shows positive efficacy and good safety in combination with bevacizumab; the drug has initiated 13 solid tumor indications in China and is the world's first 4-1BB-targeting molecule in pivotal registration trials.

NewTimeSpace News: Nanjing Leads Biolabs Co., Ltd. (stock code: 9887) announced that its self-developed PD-L1/4-1BB bispecific antibody Opatisumab (WeilixinTM) for first-line treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has completed the safety lead-in phase assessment by expert review and successfully entered the expansion stage of its Phase II clinical study. Led by Professor Zhou Jian of Zhongshan Hospital affiliated with Fudan University, preliminary data showed that Opatisumab combined with bevacizumab demonstrated clear and positive efficacy signals in HCC patients with good overall safety and tolerability.

HCC is the 4th most common malignant tumor and 2nd leading cause of cancer death in China, with approximately 368,000 new cases annually. Leveraging the conditionally activated design of the X-bodyTM platform, WeilixinTM has verified good safety in nearly 800 patients and shown strong efficacy signals in multiple tumor types including EP-NEC, NSCLC, SCLC and BTC. As the world's first molecule targeting the costimulatory receptor 4-1BB in a single-arm pivotal registration clinical stage, WeilixinTM has initiated 13 solid tumor indication clinical studies in China.
