Oblenio Bio, the NewCo jointly set up with Aditum Bio, has completed dosing of the first cohort of patients in Europe in the Phase Ia first‑in‑human clinical trial of LBL‑051, a trispecific T‑cell engager targeting BCMA, CD19 and CD3. LBL‑051 is designed to safely deplete B‑cells and plasma cells to reset the immune system and deliver sustained drug‑free remission for patients suffering from autoimmune diseases.

This open‑label, multi‑centre Phase Ia trial adopts subcutaneous administration and enrols patients with multiple refractory autoimmune diseases. Pre‑clinical data showed that LBL‑051 is capable of complete depletion of B‑cells and plasma cells with very low levels of cytokine release. In November 2024, the Company formed Oblenio together with Aditum Bio and granted an exclusive global licence for LBL‑051 (subject to option exercise).
