Fosun Pharma (02196.HK): DM1001 Preparation Obtains Clinical Trial Approval

NewTimeSpace News: Fosun Pharma announced on July 24 that its controlling subsidiary Fosun Wanbang received approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). The DM1001 preparation is authorized for clinical trials targeting signs and symptoms of idiopathic Parkinson's disease in adults, with Phase I clinical trials planned to be carried out in China once conditions permit.

NewTimeSpace News: On July 24, 2026, Fosun Pharma (02196.HK) released an announcement. Its controlling subsidiary Fosun Wanbang (Jiangsu) Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. obtained an approval letter from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), which greenlights clinical trials of DM1001 preparation for treating signs and symptoms of idiopathic Parkinson's disease in adult patients. The company plans to launch Phase I clinical trials within mainland China when ready.

The announcement noted that DM1001 is a chemical pharmaceutical. As of June 2026, cumulative R&D investment for the candidate totaled approximately RMB 6.95 million (including licensing fees).
