BAIYUNSHAN PH (00874.HK): Cefalexin Capsules Obtain Proprietary Medicine Registration Certificate from Macao Drug Administration
NewTimeSpace News: BAIYUNSHAN PH (00874.HK) announced that its subsidiary Baiyunshan General Pharmaceutical Factory has received the Proprietary Medicine Registration Certificate for 0.125g Cefalexin Capsules issued by the Macao SAR Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau. The product will be sold in Macao by Guangzhou Pharmaceutical International (Macao) under authorization, facilitating the Group’s overseas market expansion.
NewTimeSpace News: On 20 July 2026, BAIYUNSHAN PH (00874.HK) released an overseas regulatory announcement. Baiyunshan General Pharmaceutical Factory, a branch of the Company, was granted the Proprietary Medicine Registration Certificate by the Macao SAR Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau for Cefalexin Capsules (0.125g). The product is a prescription capsule with registration number MAC-08046.
The factory submitted the registration application to Macao’s drug authority on 1 June 2026 and received preliminary acceptance approval on 22 June 2026. Cefalexin Capsules are indicated for respiratory tract infections including acute tonsillitis, pharyngitis, otitis media, sinusitis, bronchitis and pneumonia, as well as urinary tract infections and skin and soft tissue infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
According to Menet data, total domestic sales of Cefalexin Capsules across urban and county public hospitals, urban retail pharmacies and online drugstores reached RMB 24.72 million in 2025. The factory’s sales revenue from this product hit RMB 4.5 million for the same year. As of the date of this announcement, cumulative unaudited R&D expenditure invested in the drug project stands at approximately RMB 7.89 million.
Following the registration approval, Baiyunshan General Pharmaceutical Factory has authorized Guangzhou Pharmaceutical International (Macao), a licensed pharmaceutical importer, exporter and wholesaler, to distribute the capsules throughout Macao. The approval will support the Group’s overseas business development and strengthen the product’s market competitiveness.
