NE ELECTRIC(00042.HK): Receives Court Enforcement Notice Involving Debt Dispute of Approximately RMB63.97 Million

NewTimeSpace News: Northeast Electric Development Company Limited (00042.HK) announced that it received an enforcement notice from Heping District People’s Court of Shenyang City on 3 July 2026 in relation to a dispute over an assignment of creditor’s rights contract between Liaoning Trust and Investment Corporation and the Company. The Company is required to immediately perform its obligations under the judgment upon receipt of the notice, failing which compulsory enforcement will be initiated. A provision of approximately RMB63.97 million has been recognised in the Company’s 2025 annual financial statements for this case.

NewTimeSpace News: Northeast Electric Development Company Limited (00042.HK) issued an announcement dated 3 July 2026 disclosing the latest enforcement progress of the litigation case.

As disclosed in the announcement, the judgment in the dispute over an assignment of creditor’s rights contract between the applicant Liaoning Trust and Investment Corporation and the respondent the Company has taken effect after the first instance ruling by Heping District People’s Court of Shenyang City and the second instance ruling by Shenyang Intermediate People’s Court. As the Company failed to fulfil the obligations specified in the effective legal document, the court filed the case for enforcement on 25 May 2026, and the Company received the enforcement notice on 3 July 2026.

A provision of around RMB63.97 million in respect of this case has been recorded in the audited financial statements of the Company for the year 2025. The Company filed an application for retrial with Liaoning High People’s Court on 16 March 2026, which has been accepted, and it is also engaging with the creditor to seek a settlement. The final impact of this enforcement case is highly dependent on the Company’s actual solvency, the parties’ willingness to reach a mediation agreement and the court’s enforcement rulings, and cannot be accurately assessed for the time being. Up to now, the case has not affected the Company’s production and operation.
