HONY MEDIA(00419.HK): Non-executive Director and Chairman Zhao Linghuan Resigns; CEO Cheng Wu Steps Down as CEO and Remains Executive Director; Yuan Haibo Transferred from President to CEO
NewTimeSpace News: Hony Media Group (00419.HK) issued an announcement on 18 June. Mr. Zhao Linghuan resigned as Non-executive Director and Chairman of the Board. Mr. Cheng Wu stepped down as Chief Executive Officer while continuing to serve as Executive Director. Mr. Yuan Haibo was transferred from President to Chief Executive Officer and will temporarily coordinate board management and operations. Mr. Yuan holds share interests in the Company. The position of Chairman will remain vacant pending suitable candidate recruitment.
NewTimeSpace News: On 18 June 2026, Hony Media Group (00419.HK) released an announcement stating that with effect from 18 June 2026, Mr. Zhao Linghuan has resigned as Non-executive Director and Chairman of the Board due to other work commitments. There is no disagreement between Mr. Zhao and the Board of Directors. The Chairman’s post will be left vacant temporarily; the Board is sourcing a suitable candidate for the role. During the interim period, Mr. Yuan Haibo, Executive Director, will assist in coordinating corporate management and operations.
Concurrently, Mr. Cheng Wu has resigned as Chief Executive Officer on account of personal work arrangements and will retain his position as Executive Director. Mr. Yuan Haibo is transferred from President to Chief Executive Officer and will continue to act as Executive Director.
Aged 63, Mr. Yuan Haibo holds a bachelor’s degree from Heilongjiang University. He is the sole shareholder and director of Smart Concept Enterprise Limited, a major shareholder of the Company. He is personally interested in 45,931,000 Company shares and is deemed interested in 193,803,010 shares held by his wholly-owned corporate vehicle. He previously served as Independent Non-executive Director of Minsheng International (00938.HK) from November 2018 to January 2025.
