TIANGONG INT'L (00826.HK): Subsidiary Joins Fusion Materials Joint Laboratory to Tackle High-End Metal Materials R&D

TIANGONG INT'L announced on January 16 that its subsidiary Tiangong Aihe has been approved to join the Fusion High-End Metal Materials R&D Joint Laboratory led by the Energy Research Institute of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center, with a five-year validity period of the agreement. Tiangong Aihe will focus on two core R&D tasks, helping the Group explore downstream application areas of nuclear fusion and enrich its powder metallurgy business.

NewTimeSpace News: TIANGONG INT'L (00826.HK) announced on January 16, 2026, that its indirect subsidiary Jiangsu Tiangong Aihe Technology Co., Ltd. has been approved by the Energy Research Institute of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center to become a new member of the Fusion High-End Metal Materials R&D Joint Laboratory, marking the official launch of a five-year technological R&D cooperation between the two parties.

It is reported that the cooperation has a clear division of labor. Tiangong Aihe will focus on advancing two core tasks: first, realizing the ton-level manufacturing of large-sized powder metallurgy 304B7 high-boron steel; second, completing the development of a new type of neutron shielding steel with a boron equivalent exceeding 3.2wt%. TIANGONG INT'L stated that this cooperation is expected to help the Group explore downstream application areas of controlled nuclear fusion, enrich the layout of its powder metallurgy business, and enhance capacity utilization and core competitiveness.
