HK shares ETFs Daily Report :Korea and Semiconductor Themes Lead While Biotech and Consumer Sectors Under Pressure
On September 9, 2026, HK shares ETFs ended mixed as Asian tech themes extended their strength. Korea’s KOSPI and the Asian semiconductor supply chain continued to attract capital, while AI infrastructure, Taiwan semiconductor and blockchain themes also performed. In the meantime, consumer, biotech and India themes faced profit-taking, and baijiu and internet segments edged lower. For southbound Stock Connect ETFs, high-dividend and dividend-yield products proved relatively resilient, while Hang Seng TECH and biotech themes came under pressure. Overall risk appetite stayed neutral, with capital maintaining a balanced allocation between tech growth and defensive products.
Gains were concentrated in Korea and Asian semiconductor themes. CSOP KOSPI 200 ETF (03121.HK), managed by CSOP Asset Management, rose 2.28% to top the gainers list, showing sustained market interest in South Korea. CSOP KOSPI 200 Covered Call Active ETF (03537.HK), from the same manager, rose 1.73%.
The Asian semiconductor supply chain broadly strengthened. E Fund (HK) Solactive Asia Semiconductor Select Index ETF (03486.HK), managed by E Fund, rose 2.16%; Global X Asia Semiconductor ETF (03119.HK), managed by Mirae Asset Global Investments (Hong Kong), rose 2.03%, tracking the FactSet Asia Semiconductor Index; Fubon ICE FactSet Taiwan Core Semiconductor Index ETF (03076.HK), managed by Fubon Fund Management (Hong Kong), rose 1.92%; and Premia FTSE TWSE Taiwan 50 ETF (03453.HK), managed by Premia Partners, rose 1.57%, tracking the FTSE TWSE Taiwan 50 30% Capped Index.
AI infrastructure and blockchain themes were active. Global X AI Infrastructure ETF (03401.HK), managed by Mirae Asset Global Investments (Hong Kong), rose 1.92%; Samsung Blockchain Technologies ETF (03171.HK) rose 1.76%; and Pando Blockchain ETF (03112.HK) rose 1.70%. In addition, CSOP SZSE CHINEXT ETF (03147.HK), managed by CSOP Asset Management, rose 1.61%, tracking the ChiNext Index.

On the downside, consumer and biotech sectors led the declines. Global X China Consumer Brand ETF (02806.HK), managed by Mirae Asset Global Investments (Hong Kong), fell 1.70% — the biggest decliner of the day — tracking the Solactive China Consumer Brand Index.
Biotech ETFs were broadly under pressure. India themes saw profit-taking. Global X India Select Top 10 ETF (03184.HK) fell 1.41%, while iShares Core S&P BSE SENSEX India Index ETF (02836.HK), managed by BlackRock, fell 1.13%, tracking the S&P BSE SENSEX 50 Index.
Baijiu and tech themes edged lower. E Fund (HK) CSI Liquor Index ETF (03189.HK) fell 1.19%; E Fund (HK) HKEX Tech 100 Index ETF (03456.HK), from the same manager, fell 1.18%; and Samsung CSI China Dragon Internet ETF (02812.HK) fell 1.13%.
