NewTimeSpace has learned that the ETF is managed by BlackRock Asset Management North Asia and tracks the MSCI China Index. Compiled by MSCI, the index is a free-float adjusted market capitalisation-weighted gauge covering Chinese companies listed on the SEHK, the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges, as well as Chinese companies listed overseas through depositary receipts. As of 10:11 HKT on October 9, the ETF had assets of HKD 12.12 billion, a unit NAV of HKD 23.006, a dividend yield of 2.12% and a board lot of 200 units.

Citing data monitored by the China Index Academy, that 55.1 million square metres of new homes were transacted across 25 key cities from October 1 to 7, up 33.8% year on year on a daily average basis versus last year's National Day holiday; average daily second-hand home transactions across 11 key cities rose 42.8%.

China Merchants Securities said in its October A-share strategy report that external demand and AI-related industrial demand remained resilient in the third quarter while trading activity in the TMT sector cooled from earlier levels, and that long-end US Treasury yields stayed elevated with domestic aggregate demand recovery still weak.
