HK shares ETFs Daily Report: Semiconductors Buck the Trend as Samsung Bloomberg Global Semiconductor ETF Gains 2.46% and Southbound ETFs Fall Across the Board — September 23, 2026

On September 23, 2026, the HK shares ETFs market showed a divergence pattern within the tech sector. Semiconductor, copper miners and blockchain themes led the gains, while Korea and AI themes followed modestly higher. On the downside, the Hang Seng TECH complex retreated broadly, with cloud computing and Hong Kong new listings themes weakening in tandem, and Hang Seng TECH-related ETFs taking most of the seats on the losers list. Among southbound Stock Connect ETFs, all 31 products declined on the day, with Hang Seng TECH themes leading the declines and dividend and broad-based products falling relatively less.
Gains were concentrated in semiconductor and copper miners themes. Samsung Bloomberg Global Semiconductor ETF (03132.HK), managed by Samsung Asset Management (Hong Kong) Limited, rose 2.46% to top the gainers list; Global X Copper Miners ETF (03014.HK), managed by Mirae Asset Global Investments (Hong Kong), rose 2.19%, the only non-tech product on the day's gainers list.
Blockchain and AI themes edged higher. Samsung Blockchain Technologies ETF (03171.HK), managed by Samsung Asset Management (Hong Kong) Limited, rose 1.56%; Global X AI Infrastructure ETF (03401.HK), managed by Mirae Asset Global Investments (Hong Kong), rose 1.37%; Pando Blockchain ETF (03112.HK), managed by Pando Limited, rose 1.14%; CSOP Solactive Asia AI Bottleneck Index ETF (03499.HK), managed by CSOP Asset Management, rose 1.07%.
Korea themes and Taiwan semiconductors also performed. CSOP KOSPI 200 Covered Call Active ETF (03537.HK), managed by CSOP Asset Management, rose 1.16%; CSOP KOSPI 200 ETF (03121.HK), from the same manager, rose 1.11%; Fubon ICE FactSet Taiwan Core Semiconductor Index ETF (03076.HK), managed by Fubon Fund Management (Hong Kong) Limited, rose 0.95%.
In addition, E Fund (HK) Solactive Global Gold Miner Select Index ETF (02824.HK), managed by E Fund Asset Management (Hong Kong) Limited, rose 0.94%, rebounding modestly after declines of 2.65% and 2.91% over the previous two trading days.

Gains were concentrated in semiconductor, copper miners, blockchain and Korea themes, with Samsung Bloomberg Global Semiconductor ETF leading at 2.46%; declines were concentrated in the Hang Seng TECH and cloud computing directions, where seven of the ten biggest decliners were Hang Seng TECH-related ETFs and another was a cloud computing ETF. On the southbound side, all 31 products declined, with losses ranging from 0.15% to 1.70%; Hang Seng TECH themes led the declines while AI and dividend products fell relatively less, broadly in line with the wider market's direction. Notably, the US equity tech and NASDAQ themes that led the previous trading day failed to enter the top of the gainers list.
