HK shares ETFs Daily Report: Tech Growth Themes Rebound Broadly as Southbound Hang Seng TECH Strengthens in Tandem-September 18, 2026
- Tech growth themes rebounded across the board, with E Fund (HK) Solactive Asia Semiconductor Select Index ETF up 4.91% to lead, as five ETFs across semiconductor, AI and ChiNext directions each gained more than 4%.
- Japan themes and dividend products pulled back modestly, with Global X K-Pop and Culture ETF down 2.26% to lead the losers, while declines across the losers board were generally limited.
- Among southbound Stock Connect ETFs, tech themes rose broadly, with CSOP FTSE HK-Korea Tech+ Index ETF up 3.67% to lead and three Hang Seng TECH-related ETFs each gaining more than 2%.
On September 18, 2026, the HK shares ETFs market saw a broad rebound across tech growth themes. Asian semiconductor, China semiconductor, artificial intelligence and ChiNext directions led the gains, with five ETFs — E Fund (HK) Solactive Asia Semiconductor Select Index ETF, Bosera SZSE ChiNext Daily (2x) Leveraged Product, CSOP Solactive Asia AI Bottleneck Index ETF, Global X China Semiconductor ETF and Premia China STAR50 ETF — each rising more than 4%. Hong Kong-Korea tech and Asian tech themes strengthened in tandem. On the downside, Japan themes and dividend products pulled back modestly, with declines generally limited. Among southbound Stock Connect ETFs, tech themes rose broadly, with Hang Seng TECH names particularly active; high-dividend and dividend products edged lower.
Gains were concentrated in semiconductor and artificial intelligence themes. E Fund (HK) Solactive Asia Semiconductor Select Index ETF (03486.HK), managed by E Fund Asset Management (Hong Kong) Limited, rose 4.91% to top the gainers list; Global X China Semiconductor ETF (03191.HK), managed by Mirae Asset Global Investments (Hong Kong), rose 4.40%, tracking the FactSet China Semiconductor Index; Global X Asia Semiconductor ETF (03119.HK), from the same manager, rose 3.36%, tracking the ICE FactSet Asia Semiconductor Index. Three semiconductor ETFs entered the top ten gainers.
ChiNext and STAR 50 themes strengthened. Bosera SZSE ChiNext Daily (2x) Leveraged Product (07234.HK), managed by Bosera Asset Management (International), rose 4.70%, tracking a leveraged ChiNext Index product; Premia China STAR50 ETF (03151.HK), managed by Premia Partners Company Limited, rose 4.04%, tracking the SSE STAR 50 Index; Bosera STAR 50 Index ETF (02832.HK), managed by Bosera Asset Management (International), rose 3.32%.
Artificial intelligence themes were active. CSOP Solactive Asia AI Bottleneck Index ETF (03499.HK), managed by CSOP Asset Management Limited, rose 4.52%; E Fund (HK) FTSE AI Select Index ETF (03489.HK), managed by E Fund Asset Management (Hong Kong) Limited, rose 3.51%, tracking the FTSE Custom Global AI Select Index (Net Return).
Hong Kong-Korea and Asian tech themes rose in tandem. CSOP FTSE HK-Korea Tech+ Index ETF (03431.HK), managed by CSOP Asset Management Limited, rose 3.67%; CSOP FTSE Asia Tech Index ETF (03473.HK), from the same manager, rose 3.66%.

Within southbound ETFs, tech themes rose broadly while high-dividend and dividend products pulled back modestly, broadly in line with the day's price direction across the wider market. CSOP FTSE HK-Korea Tech+ Index ETF rebounded 3.67% to lead the gainers after falling 1.24% the previous day (September 17).
