I. Market Overview
On 18 August, the three major Hong Kong indices closed mixed. The Hang Seng Index edged up 0.07% to 25,471.15 points; the Hang Seng TECH Index fell 0.90%; and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index rose 0.16%. Full-day turnover was HKD 255.541 billion, higher than the previous trading day.
On the market, the pork concept led the gains, with MUYUAN (02714.HK) up 4.56% as the domestic average hog price surpassed RMB 10.86 per kg. The CRO concept advanced again, with GENSCRIPT BIO (01548.HK) up 8.36%, as AIDD catalyzed strong growth in its life sciences business. Most robot-concept stocks moved higher, with ESTUN (02715.HK) up 8.43%, as Unitree is set to debut on the STAR Market tomorrow. Oil & gas stocks were active, with COSL (02883.HK) up 5.08%. Technology stocks such as the memory, PCB and semiconductor concepts led the declines, with HUA HONG GRACE (01347.HK) down 7.9%.
Southbound capital recorded a net buy of HKD 14.0 billion on the day. Within that, Stock Connect (Shanghai) saw a net buy of HKD 9.793 billion and Stock Connect (Shenzhen) a net buy of HKD 4.208 billion.

IV. Industry and Corporate Updates
1. GEELY AUTO's interim revenue hits record high; core net profit up 46%; major management reshuffle
On August 17, GEELY AUTO (00175.HK) released its 2026 interim results and announced management changes. In the first half, total revenue reached RMB 173.6 billion, up 15% year-on-year, a record high; core attributable net profit was RMB 9.68 billion, up 46% year-on-year. Total sales volume was 1.423 million vehicles, up 1% year-on-year; exports were 474,000 vehicles, up 158% year-on-year. Gross margin improved to 17.9%, and revenue per vehicle rose 16% year-on-year to RMB 112,000. At the board level, effective August 18, 2026, Li Shufu resigned as chairman of the board and executive director, becoming lifetime honorary chairman, with An Conghui succeeding as chairman of the board; Gui Shengyue resigned as chief executive officer, becoming vice chairman of the board, with Gan Jiayue succeeding as chief executive officer. 2. H WORLD-S discloses interim results and raises full-year guidance; approves USD 2.5 billion shareholder return plan
After market close on August 17, H WORLD-S (01179.HK) released its 2026 second-quarter and interim results. Second-quarter revenue was RMB 7.121 billion, up 10.8% year-on-year; net profit attributable to H WORLD-S was approximately RMB 1.6 billion, up 2.1% year-on-year. First-half revenue was RMB 13.117 billion, up 11.0% year-on-year; attributable net profit was approximately RMB 2.4 billion. The board approved a three-year shareholder return plan of USD 2.5 billion and declared a dividend of 8.7 US cents per share. The company raised its full-year revenue guidance to growth of 4%–8% (previously 2%–6%), and lifted the expected growth of managed, franchised and licensed revenue from 12%–16% to 16%–20%. 3. CHALCO's controlling shareholder advances shareholding increase plan, intending to buy RMB 1.0–2.0 billion
On August 18, CHALCO (02600.HK) disclosed the progress of its controlling shareholder Chinalco's shareholding increase. Chinalco plans to increase its holdings of the company's A-shares and H-shares through the trading systems of the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, with an aggregate amount of not less than RMB 1.0 billion and not more than RMB 2.0 billion, and the number of shares acquired not exceeding 2% of total share capital, within 12 months from the date of the announcement. The company plans to convene an extraordinary general meeting in September to consider relevant proposals. CHALCO is a Stock Connect constituent.
4. SINOPHARM pays 2025 final dividend of HKD 0.79 per share today
On August 18, SINOPHARM (01099.HK) formally distributed its 2025 final dividend of HKD 0.79 per share (tax-included). H-share holders (excluding Stock Connect investors) are paid in Hong Kong dollars, while dividends for Stock Connect investors are paid in RMB and distributed on their behalf by ChinaClear; for mainland individual investors holding through Stock Connect, individual income tax is withheld at a 20% rate. SINOPHARM is a Stock Connect constituent.
5. Shenzhen Yimufeng Biotechnology files HKEX listing application again; core CAR-T therapy in Phase III clinical
According to an HKEX disclosure on August 18, Shenzhen Yimufeng Biotechnology Co., Ltd. -B has again submitted a main board listing application to HKEX, with Huatai International as the sole sponsor. Founded in 2020, the company is an innovative cell therapy enterprise focused on CAR-T cell therapy R&D, leveraging both ex vivo and in vivo CAR-T dual engines to treat solid tumors, hematologic malignancies and autoimmune diseases. Its core product IMC002 is a CLDN18.2-targeting CAR-T therapy currently in Phase III clinical stage, and it has submitted an Investigational New Drug application to the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). In the first half of 2026, R&D costs were RMB 82.203 million, up 222% year-on-year; net loss was RMB 108.9 million.
