HK shares ETFs Daily Report: China biopharma breaks out across the board! Hang Seng biotech rises over 5%, Vietnam and fintech under pressure- 20260807
NewTimeSpace News: On 7 August 2026, the HK shares ETFs market saw China biopharma, semiconductor and STAR 50 directions surge across the board, while Vietnam, fintech and high dividend products pulled back modestly, with the pharmaceutical sector becoming the absolute main theme of the day.
China biopharma and Hang Seng biotech themes performed extremely strongly. Global X China Biotech ETF (2820.HK) rose 6.37%, leading the gains; CSOP Hang Seng Biotech ETF (3174.HK) rose 5.69%; Chinaamc Hang Seng Hong Kong Biotech Index ETF (3069.HK) rose 5.59%; and E Fund(Hk)Solactive Biopharma Select Index Etf (3186.HK) rose 3.57%.
Semiconductor and technology directions strengthened in tandem: Global X China Semiconductor ETF (3191.HK) rose 3.73%; Global X China Little Giant ETF (2815.HK) rose 3.67%; Global X China Core Tech Etf (3448.HK) rose 3.00%; and CSOP YINHUA CSI 5G COMMUNICATIONS THEME ETF (3193.HK) rose 2.95%. Multiple STAR 50 products rebounded collectively: Bosera STAR 50 Index ETF (2832.HK) rose 2.83% and CSOP STAR 50 Index ETF (3109.HK) rose 2.72%. Overall, the China biopharma, Hang Seng biotech and semiconductor directions formed a strong sector linkage effect, with all top ten gainers rising more than 2.7%.

The Global X China Biotech ETF, Hang Seng biotech and semiconductor directions attracted concentrated buying and led the gains, with the pharmaceutical sector becoming the absolute main theme of the day, while Vietnam, fintech, high dividend and India products pulled back modestly. Market hotspots rotated rapidly from the previous day's gold miner and India defensive positions to China biopharma and semiconductors, with the pharmaceutical sector staging a full comeback after sustained prior adjustments, and the pace of sector rotation remaining relatively fast.
