On 6 August, the three major Hong Kong indices opened lower and declined throughout the day, with the Hang Seng Index down 1.49% to 25,530.28 points, the Hang Seng TECH Index down 2.28% and turnover of HKD 255.2 billion. On the trading front, the "twin titans" of large models strengthened against the trend, with MINIMAX-W (00100) surging 17.1% on its first day of formal admission to the connect and Z.AI (02513) up 4.42%; coal stocks led the gains, with YANKUANG ENERGY up 6.12%; gold stocks were active, with LINGBAO GOLD up 4.82%. I. Market Overview

On 6 August, the three major Hong Kong indices opened lower and declined throughout the day: the Hang Seng Index fell 1.49% to 25,530.28 points, the Hang Seng TECH Index fell 2.28%, and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index fell 1.22%. Total daily turnover was HKD 255.227 billion.

On the trading front, coal stocks led the gains, with YANKUANG ENERGY (01171) up 6.12%, as thermal coal prices were raised across the board and the tight supply situation continued. Gold stocks were active again, with LINGBAO GOLD (03330) up 4.82%, as international gold prices broke above USD 4,300 per ounce. The "twin titans" of large models strengthened against the trend, with MINIMAX-W (00100) up 17.1% and Z.AI (02513) up 4.42%. Hong Kong insurance stocks were weak throughout the day, with AIA (01299) down 5.92% and PRUDENTIAL (02378) down 4.57%, dragged by rumors of taxation on gains from offshore policies. Lithium battery, automobile and chip stocks declined across the board, with CATL (03750) down 5.05% and SMIC (00981) down 3.9%.

Southbound capital recorded a net sell of HKD 1.461 billion on the day, of which Stock Connect (Shanghai) posted a net buy of HKD 3.257 billion and Stock Connect (Shenzhen) a net sell of HKD 4.718 billion.

IV. Industry and Corporate Updates

1. HK Stock Connect eligible securities list adjusted: MINIMAX, Luxshare ICT and CCTC formally admitted

On 6 August, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange announced adjustments to the list of securities eligible for HK Stock Connect, admitting MINIMAX-W (00100.HK), Luxshare ICT (02475.HK) and CCTC (06951.HK), effective from that day. The three targets joined the connect on the same day, with MINIMAX becoming the second domestic large-model stock to enter HK Stock Connect after Z.AI, while Luxshare ICT and CCTC are both A-share companies whose H shares were admitted after the end of their price stabilization periods.

2. BYD launches its first Brazil-made plug-in hybrid flexible-fuel Song Pro, with localization rate exceeding 50%

BYD (01211.HK) officially launched its first plug-in hybrid flexible-fuel model produced locally in Brazil, the Song Pro Super Hybrid Flexible Fuel version. The model, developed over two years with an investment of approximately RMB 133 million, can run on pure electricity, gasoline or ethanol. Produced at BYD's Camacari plant in Brazil, the vehicle has a parts localization rate exceeding 50%, with the GL version offering a pure-electric range of 60 km and the GS version 120 km. BYD is investing BRL 5.5 billion (approximately USD 1.073 billion) in the plant, with expected output of 180,000 units this year. In the first half of 2026, BYD sold 99,029 units cumulatively in Brazil, ranking fourth across all brands.

3. Zero2IPO issues profit alert, swinging to a substantial year-on-year turnaround in H1

On 6 August, Zero2IPO (01945.HK) issued a positive profit alert for the first half of 2026, expecting revenue of RMB 74 million to RMB 98 million, up 21.86% to 32.63% year-on-year, and net profit of RMB 13 million to RMB 18 million, swinging to a substantial year-on-year profit turnaround (having recorded losses in every first half since 2022). The growth was mainly driven by increased order volume across its four major businesses, higher fair value of investment projects and improved operating efficiency enabled by AI. Zero2IPO is an HK Stock Connect eligible stock.

4. Swire Properties H1 underlying profit attributable to shareholders up 11%, interim dividend up 6%

On 6 August, Swire Properties (01972.HK) announced its 2026 interim results, with first-half revenue of HKD 9.413 billion, up 8% year-on-year, and underlying profit attributable to shareholders of HKD 4.9 billion, up 11% year-on-year, mainly reflecting the profit from the sale of two houses at 6 Deep Water Bay Road. The Company declared a first interim dividend of HKD 0.37 per share for 2026, up 6% year-on-year. Swire Properties is an HK Stock Connect eligible stock.

5. Puqi Pharmaceutical re-files with HKEX, focusing on immuno-inflammatory diseases

According to HKEX disclosures, Beijing Puqi Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. has recently re-submitted a listing application to HKEX, its second attempt half a year after its first filing lapsed. Founded in 2016 and focused on immuno-inflammatory diseases, the Company's core product Pumeixitini (a JAK1/JAK2 inhibitor) gel for the treatment of atopic dermatitis has had its NDA accepted by the NMPA, and it expects to submit an NDA for its nasal spray for allergic rhinitis in Q4 2026. The Company has reached commercialization partnerships with JUMPCAN and Simcere Pharma.

On 6 August, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange announced adjustments to the HK Stock Connect eligible securities list, admitting MINIMAX-W (00100.HK), Luxshare ICT (02475.HK) and CCTC (06951.HK), effective from that day. No securities were removed in this adjustment.
