CSPC Innovation Refiles HKEX Listing Application, World’s Largest Producer of Synthetic Caffeine

The company ranks as the world’s largest manufacturer of chemically synthesized caffeine by revenue and shipment volume from 2020 to 2025, serving major global clients including The Coca-Cola Company, PepsiCo and Red Bull GmbH. Its business portfolio has expanded into health food, functional pharmaceutical APIs and biopharmaceuticals covering antibodies, ADCs and mRNA vaccines; the Group acquired equity interest in Jushi Bio in 2024 to foray into biotech.

According to Frost & Sullivan industry data, it has maintained the position as theworld’s largest producer of chemically synthesized caffeinemeasured by revenue and shipment volume throughout 2020 to 2025. Its long-term global clients include The Coca-Cola Company (cooperation commenced in 2006), PepsiCo (since 2007) and Red Bull GmbH (since 2008).
In 2016, the Group expanded into the health food sector. Its trademark “Vioc®” is recognized as a China Well-Known Trademark, with a sales network covering more than 270 chain pharmacy chains nationwide. In 2022, it completed the 100% acquisition of CSPC Shengxue, broadening its product lineup to functional APIs such as acarbose and anhydrous glucose; the Group is now one of China’s largest certified manufacturers of acarbose API.
In 2024, the Group obtained controlling equity interest in Jushi Bio, emerging as a rising player in biopharmaceuticals.
