TOUYUN BIOTECH (01332.HK): unit and Tianfu Yongxing Laboratory set up joint R&D centre on advanced thermal control materials and equipment
NewTimeSpace News: TOUYUN BIOTECH (01332.HK) announced that on 28 October 2026, Fusion Era (Guangdong) New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., a non-wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, and Tianfu Yongxing Laboratory held a press conference in Chengdu on the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and formally announced the establishment of a joint R&D centre, named the "Advanced Thermal Control Materials and Equipment Joint Transformation Centre". The event was guided by the Chengdu Municipal Science and Technology Bureau and Sichuan Provincial Industrial Technology Research and Transformation Co., Ltd., and was attended by representatives of the organisers, including the Chengdu Productivity Promotion Centre, the Tianfu New Area Science and Technology Bureau, the Laboratory and Chengdu Technology Service Group Co., Ltd., together with more than 30 guests from municipal, provincial and district authorities under the "invest first, equity later" policy, Chengdu Industrial Investment Group and investment and financing institutions.
According to the announcement, under the co-construction cooperation agreement, the centre will focus on thermal control systems, thermal management components and supporting equipment in application scenarios such as communications, energy, AI computing infrastructure and high-end equipment, as well as clean and low-carbon energy, coordinated pollution and carbon reduction resources and industrial waste heat recovery. It will carry out R&D and industrialisation in areas including enhanced heat transfer and thermal regulation under ultra-high heat flux density, advanced thermal functional materials, waste heat recovery and cascade utilisation, and the design, integration and test verification of thermal control equipment. The centre will be headed by Mr. Qian Bin, a researcher and senior engineer of the Laboratory, as its director, with Ms. Zhou Ruijuan, chairman of Fusion Era, and Mr. Liu Changjun, its general manager, as deputy directors.
The announcement noted that the Laboratory is a provincial key laboratory in the carbon neutrality field and has built six major research areas since its unveiling at the end of 2021, including clean and low-carbon energy, resource carbon neutrality, and carbon capture and utilisation. Fusion Era is a high-tech enterprise focusing on heat transfer, thermal conduction and heat dissipation, with super thermal conductive materials as its technological foundation, and its products have been applied in traditional industries such as energy storage, chemicals and coal mining. The Board considers that the cooperation agreement is a revenue-natured transaction entered into in the ordinary and usual course of business for the Group's research, development, manufacture and sale of high thermal conductivity new materials, that its terms were negotiated on normal commercial terms and are fair and reasonable, and that it is in the interests of the Company and its shareholders as a whole.
