On 21 Oct 2026, SFQ GLOBAL (01953.HK) said its unit signed a US$41.4mn EPC contract for a solar and storage project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

NewTimeSpace News: On 21 October 2026, SFQ Global Limited (formerly Rimbaco Group Global Limited) (the "Company") voluntarily announced that SFQ Huanyu Limited, a subsidiary of the Company, has recently entered into an engineering, procurement and construction contract (the "EPC Contract") in respect of a solar photovoltaic and energy storage system in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (the "Project"), with a total contract sum of approximately US$41.4 million, comprising approximately US$22.3 million for phase one and approximately US$19.1 million for phase two.

The announcement disclosed that the scope of work for the Project covers design, procurement of equipment and materials, multimodal transportation to the project site, construction, installation, commissioning, grid connection, performance testing and related maintenance services. The Company said it has been actively exploring new opportunities for business expansion and strategic upgrading, and believes that continuing to leverage its strengths in industrial and infrastructure construction projects and breaking away from a single-market footprint in Malaysia are sources of impetus for its further development.

The Company stated that, following strategic planning, it considers that the following two directions can further broaden its revenue sources and give it access to high-growth industries and regions: first, on top of continuing to focus on and develop its current industrial and infrastructure construction business, further focusing on the construction contracting of new energy power stations to capture the rapid growth opportunities in the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) market for new energy power stations; and second, leveraging the regional advantages of the Company and its controlling shareholder in Southeast Asia and Africa to further expand its business regions from Malaysia to other Southeast Asian countries and Africa, thereby diversifying single-market operational risks and opening up broader market space. The newly signed EPC Contract is one of the results of the Company implementing its new strategic plan; as entering into the EPC Contract is conducted in the ordinary and usual course of the Company's business and is revenue-generating in nature, it does not constitute a discloseable transaction under Chapter 14 of the Listing Rules. To the best of the directors' knowledge, information and belief after making all reasonable enquiries, all counterparties to the EPC Contract are third parties independent of the Company and its connected persons, and accordingly the EPC Contract and the transactions contemplated thereunder do not constitute a connected transaction under Chapter 14A of the Listing Rules.
