For the six months ended 30 June 2026, revenue was approximately HK$ 1,657,990,000, down approximately 3.5% year on year, and gross profit was approximately HK$ 498,684,000, down approximately 9.0%. Profit for the period was approximately HK$ 404,783,000, of which profit attributable to owners of the Company was approximately HK$ 325,222,000, down approximately 5.6%, and basic earnings per share were 30.32 HK cents, compared with 32.11 HK cents a year earlier.
The Board declared an interim dividend of 5.18 HK cents per share (first half of 2025: 5.18 HK cents per share), payable on 30 October 2026 to shareholders on the register of members on 25 September 2026.
By business segment, the pharmaceutical segment recorded revenue of approximately HK$ 811,700,000, down 6%, and segment profit of approximately HK$ 72,800,000, compared with HK$ 377,900,000 a year earlier, mainly because the prior-year period included a special dividend of HK$ 303,100,000 paid by Tasly Group. Within the utilities segment, the thermal power company recorded revenue of approximately HK$ 549,100,000, down 3.5%, while the water supply company recorded revenue of approximately HK$ 144,000,000.
As at 30 June 2026, the Group's total cash on hand was approximately HK$ 6,834,100,000 and total bank loans were approximately HK$ 1,958,900,000, with a debt-to-equity ratio of approximately 14.4%. Tianjin Taikang Investment Co., Ltd., a subsidiary 82.74% owned by the Company, completed the disposal of its entire interest in Bailee Finance Leasing on 22 May 2026, and the Group recognised a gain of approximately HK$ 47,900,000.
