BOC AVIATION (02588.HK): Orders 12 A320NEO Aircraft from Airbus for Long-Term Lease to Avianca, with Deliveries Planned for 2029

NewTimeSpace News: On 10 September 2026, BOC Aviation Limited (stock code: 02588) announced that on 9 September 2026, the company entered into an agreement with Airbus S.A.S. to purchase 12 Airbus A320NEO aircraft, and entered into a long-term lease with Aerovías del Continente Americano S.A. Avianca for the aircraft. All aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2029, and both Airbus and Avianca are independent third parties.

According to the announcement, as the applicable percentage ratios exceed 5% but are all below 25%, the transactions constitute a discloseable transaction under Chapter 14 of the Listing Rules; however, as they constitute a qualified aircraft leasing activity of the company, they are exempt from announcement, circular and shareholder approval requirements under Rule 14.33C. As of 30 June 2026, the company's asset portfolio comprised a total of 811 owned, managed and ordered aircraft and engines.
