NewTimeSpace News: On 1 September 2026, Linmon Media Limited (stock code: 09857) voluntarily announced that the contemporary national security-themed TV drama Confrontation, created under the lead of the Ministry of State Security (MSS) and produced by China Media Group, the MSS National Security Film and Television Center, China Television Drama Production Center, Linmon Media and its subsidiary Linmon Kainxin, and Tencent Video, with Qimeng Pictures as co-presenter, is scheduled to premiere exclusively on CCTV-8 on 6 September 2026, with simultaneous full-platform premiere on Tencent Video and Migu Video.

The drama is written by Wang Xiaoqiang, directed by Yao Xiaofeng as chief director and produced by Zhang Yiyun as chief producer, starring Wang Kai, Zhou Yiran, Ou Hao and Peng Yuchang (listed in stroke order of surnames), with special appearances by Cheng Taishen, Qi Huan, Qiu Tian, Lawrence Ng (Hong Kong, China), Wu Yue, Yue Yang, Gao Xin, Gao Jie (Taiwan, China), Zu Feng and Dong Yong.
