REGENT PACIFIC (00575.HK): Net milestone payment of USD 4.5 million received from Fosun Wanbang, further value expected from Senstend commercialization in China

On 1 September 2026, REGENT PACIFIC (00575.HK) announced that it received a net milestone payment of USD 4.5 million (approximately HKD 35.1 million) from Fosun Wanbang after deduction of Chinese withholding tax on 31 August 2026, and will receive a further USD 1.8 million (approximately HKD 14.04 million) after the first commercialization, followed by additional payments of up to USD 25 million (approximately HKD 195 million) subject to annual net sales thresholds and ongoing low-to-mid teen tiered royalties on net sales. Senstend is expected to benefit approximately 9 million patients in its first year of launch, increasing to over 170 million patients by the tenth year.

NewTimeSpace News: On 1 September 2026, Regent Pacific Group Limited (stock code: 00575) announced on a voluntary basis that, on 31 August 2026, pursuant to the licensing and collaboration arrangement between the Group and Fosun Wanbang (Jiangsu) Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (Fosun Wanbang) for Senstend in the People's Republic of China (China), the Group received a net milestone payment of USD 4,500,000 (or approximately HKD 35,100,000) from Fosun Wanbang after deduction of Chinese withholding tax, further demonstrating the continued strength and value of the strategic partnership.

The Board expects that Senstend commercialization by Fosun Wanbang in China will unlock further significant value for the Group. Following the first commercialization, the Group will be entitled to receive an additional net payment of USD 1,800,000 (or approximately HKD 14,040,000) after deduction of Chinese withholding tax. Thereafter, the Group will receive ongoing royalty and commercial milestone payments: upon the first commercial sale, if annual net sales thresholds are met, additional payments of up to an aggregate maximum of USD 25,000,000 (or approximately HKD 195,000,000); and attractive low-to-mid teen tiered percentage royalties calculated on net sales, providing the Group with significant and long-term stable royalty income throughout the product's life cycle in the Chinese market, except that a lower payment structure will apply under certain circumstances where generic products have successfully entered and impacted the Chinese market.

Senstend has the potential to help a large number of patients in China, with approximately 9,000,000 patients expected to benefit in the first year of launch, increasing to more than 170,000,000 patients by the tenth year. The Board believes this represents an important and positive step in the Group's strategy to monetize its Senstend asset in China, one of the world's largest pharmaceutical markets. The announcement noted that, unless otherwise indicated, amounts denominated in US dollars are converted into Hong Kong dollars at an exchange rate of USD 1.00 to HKD 7.80 (for illustrative purposes only), and that shareholders and potential investors should exercise caution when dealing in the securities of the Company.
