EuroEyes (01846.HK): Expected H‑1 Loss of HK$10 Million‑HK$17 Million
NewTimeSpace News: On August 24, 2026, EuroEyes (01846.HK) issued a profit forecast. Based on preliminary assessment of the unaudited consolidated management accounts, the Group expects loss attributable to owners of the Company for the interim period to be between HK$10 million and HK$17 million, versus a profit of about HK$38.4 million for the corresponding period of last year.
According to the announcement, the swing from profit to loss is mainly attributable to non‑recurring costs directly related to the acquisition of FYEO Europe B.V., including consultancy and professional fees. The transaction was completed on 22 July 2026. Relevant gains and operating results were not incorporated into the interim consolidated financial performance and will be reflected starting from the second half of the year. Operating losses incurred by the Swiss business post‑acquisition and during its strategic transformation also contributed to the result.
EuroEyes stated that notwithstanding the anticipated loss, interim revenue is projected at HK$450 million‑HK$460 million, representing a year‑on‑year growth of approximately 19%‑22%, which reflects continued expansion of its core business.
