EuroEyes (01846.HK): Appointment of Rens Laurentius Michaël Schoenmakers as Executive Director

NewTimeSpace News: EuroEyes International Eye Clinic Limited released an announcement on 3 August 2026, stating that Mr. Rens Laurentius Michaël Schoenmakers has been appointed as executive director. Mr. Schoenmakers, aged 60, has more than 20 years of senior management experience within the medical device and healthcare industries.

Following the Group’s acquisition of FYEO Europe B.V., Mr. Schoenmakers was appointed General Manager for Europe of the Group in July 2026, overseeing the Group’s European business. He also acts as Chief Executive Officer and executive director of EuroEyes Netherlands Holding B.V.

From April 2019 to July 2026, Mr. Schoenmakers served as Chief Executive Officer of FYEO in the Netherlands, a leading Dutch refractive surgery brand. Prior to that, he held positions including Managing Director and Senior Vice President for Europe, North America and Asia at Handicare Group AB, as well as Chief Executive Officer of Welzorg Nederland B.V. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Nijenrode University, the Netherlands.

Mr. Schoenmakers is entitled to a director’s fee of EUR 3,400 per month and monthly salary of EUR 36,600. He is also eligible for discretionary bonus and other benefits.
