SUNWAH KINGSWAY (00188.HK): Sells 21,220 Tencent Shares On-Market over Past Year, Realizing Approximately HK$ 12.61 Million

NewTimeSpace News: On 13 August 2026, Sunwah Kingsway Capital Holdings Limited (stock code: 00188) announced that, during the period from 19 August 2025 to 13 August 2026, the Company sold an aggregate of 21,220 Tencent shares (representing approximately 0.0002% of the total issued Tencent shares) through a series of on-market transactions on the Stock Exchange via its wholly-owned subsidiary, with daily average prices ranging between HKD 465 and HKD 655 per share and total consideration of approximately HKD 12,610,000 (excluding transaction costs).

The disposal realized a gain of approximately HKD 1 million, being the difference between the total consideration and the aggregate purchase cost of the Tencent shares sold. As one or more applicable percentage ratios exceed 5% but are below 25%, the disposal constitutes a disclosable transaction. The Company stated that the disposal provides an opportunity to realize part of its investment in Tencent shares, allowing the Group to realize cash resources for general working capital and other potential investment funds, and that as the disposal was made on-market at prevailing market prices, the directors consider it fair and reasonable.
