MICOT PHARMA-B (02335.HK): Preclinical and Phase I data of neuroprotective candidate MT200605 accepted for oral presentation at 2026 World Stroke Congress; Phase II meets primary endpoint

(stock code: 02335) published a voluntary announcement, announcing that the preclinical and Phase I clinical data of MT200605, the Group's self-developed injectable neuroprotective candidate drug for the treatment of acute ischaemic stroke (AIS), have been accepted for oral presentation at the 18th World Stroke Congress 2026 (WSC 2026). The oral presentation will be held on Wednesday 21 October 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. (Korea Standard Time) in Room 201 of the COEX Convention Center in Seoul, South Korea, under the title "MT200605: A Novel Bifunctional Neuroprotectant for the Treatment of Ischaemic Stroke", in session FC01 - Basic Science, Translational Research and Biomarkers.

The World Stroke Congress is hosted by the World Stroke Organization (WSO), the world's only authoritative international organisation dedicated to stroke, and is one of the important international academic exchange platforms in the global stroke field. The Phase I clinical study of MT200605 was conducted in China and the United States respectively, aiming to evaluate the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of MT200605 in healthy subjects. According to the announcement, MT200605 is an injectable neuroprotectant with a dual synergistic mechanism of action, and to the Company's knowledge is the world's only agonist that crosses the blood-brain barrier (BBB), acts on the BDNF/TrkB pathway and has entered clinical development, combining anti-oxidative stress effects with neuroprotective effects that relieve microcirculatory occlusion caused by calcium-induced vascular smooth muscle contraction, thereby comprehensively blocking ischaemic cascade injury induced after acute ischaemic stroke while promoting neural regeneration and remodelling.

Alongside the acceptance of the preclinical and Phase I clinical data for oral presentation at WSC 2026, the Phase II clinical trial of MT200605 for acute ischaemic stroke has achieved results that are statistically significant and clinically relevant and has met its primary endpoint, with detailed clinical data to be published at international academic conferences and in academic journals in the future; based on the existing Phase II clinical results, MT200605 has demonstrated significant and robust efficacy in patients with acute ischaemic stroke with a favourable safety and tolerability profile.
