(01228.HK) issued a voluntary announcement disclosing that the Group has fully commenced the registration process and commercialization preparations for GORYNIN® (velaglucerase beta for injection) in key North African markets, with all launch preparatory work progressing in an orderly manner.
GORYNIN® is a long-term enzyme replacement therapy for the treatment of Gaucher disease. It was approved for marketing by the NMPA on May 15, 2025, representing the Company's first self-developed enzyme replacement therapy, for which the Company holds global proprietary rights. The Company is conducting a registration clinical trial to extend the eligible patient population to children aged 2 years and under 12 years.
The Company noted that the overseas expansion of GORYNIN® into the North African market represents a significant milestone in its global Gaucher disease market strategy, which is expected to enhance treatment accessibility for patients in North Africa and enrich the Company's revenue structure over the medium to long term. As of the announcement date, the Company has not yet recorded any formal sales revenue from the North African market, and the registration process must complete regulatory approval before commercialization can be finalized.
