Peking University Resources (00618.HK): Termination of Joint Venture Establishment

NewTimeSpace News: Peking University Resources announced on 29 July that after re-evaluating its business development strategy and taking relevant uncertainties and market risks into consideration, the Company resolved not to proceed with the establishment of the joint venture, and has mutually agreed with its counterparty to terminate the joint venture agreement.

NewTimeSpace News: On 29 July 2026, Peking University Resources (00618.HK) issued an announcement. On 30 March 2026, the Company entered into a joint venture agreement with Shanghai Cun’an and Mr. Feng to set up a joint venture company in Hong Kong engaging in international trading and supply chain services of non-ferrous metal commodities.

Peking University Resources stated that following a reassessment of the Group’s business development strategy and consideration of associated uncertainties and market risks, the Company decided to abandon the joint venture plan. All contracting parties mutually agreed to terminate the joint venture agreement on 29 July. As at the date of the announcement, none of the contracting parties had made any capital contributions, and the joint venture company had not commenced any business operations. The Company will transfer all shares in the joint venture company to Shanghai Cun’an at nil consideration to fully withdraw from the joint venture. Upon termination of the joint venture agreement, none of the contracting parties shall bear any liabilities.
