China National Culture Group (00745.HK): Forms JV with Bigger Group, Holding 60% Stake in AI-Driven Digital Entertainment Infrastructure
NewTimeSpace News: China National Culture Group Limited (stock code: 745) announced that on 29 July 2026, the company entered into a joint venture shareholders' agreement with Bigger Group Holdings Limited to jointly establish a joint venture company in Hong Kong. Pursuant to the agreement, the company and Bigger intend to hold 60% and 40% equity interests respectively in the JV through their respective affiliates or designated entities.
According to the announcement, Bigger is an entertainment technology company principally engaged in film production, franchise and derivative rights, cross-border marketing, and interactive content, as well as entertainment content creation, influencer and digital artist management, new retail, and project management. To the best of the directors' knowledge and belief following reasonable enquiry, Bigger and its ultimate beneficial owner are independent third parties.
The announcement stated that the JV is committed to providing next-generation AI-driven infrastructure for the digital entertainment industry, covering intellectual property management, content compliance, intelligent settlement, and copyright enforcement. The group plans to apply AIGC tools and workflows to produce short dramas, film shorts, and AI-generated music, and to develop related AIGC distribution and platform capabilities. The directors believe that Mr. Stephen Chow and Mr. Wang Peng's track record in producing audio-visual content for Greater China audiences is expected to provide creative and editorial input for the group's AIGC short dramas and film shorts; Bigger's IP portfolio can serve as reference material for AIGC adaptations; and Bigger's experience in new media development and cooperation with Volcano Engine will help the group establish distribution capabilities for its AIGC works.
The announcement noted that the JV agreement reflects the parties' cooperation intentions and is legally binding, with further negotiation required to confirm details including specific investment amounts and JV establishment particulars, to be documented in supplemental agreements.
