WK GROUP (02535.HK) Profit Warning: Expected Net Loss of Not Less Than HK$10 Million for 2026 Interim Period

NewTimeSpace News: On 28 July 2026, WK Group (02535.HK) issued a profit warning announcement. The Group expects to incur a net loss of not less than HK$10 million for the six months ended 30 June 2026, versus post-tax profit of HK$10.8 million for the same period of last year.

The anticipated net loss is mainly attributable to (i) a drop in revenue resulting from lower contract values of awarded projects; and (ii) narrowed gross profit margin. Amid tight budgets of main contractors, the Group lowered bidding prices to secure construction projects during the reporting period. In addition, costs associated with idle plant facilities further squeezed margins.
